Polarity's Reawakening

   It was 10 years ago when the Battle of Beacon Academy happened. The tremendous mutiny against the White Fang and the horrible Grimms had given the young huntsmen and huntresses a great uproar. That night, a young woman had sacrificed her life to duel a powerful enemy. She was an Inhuman who used her magnetic semblance to stop the other fiery one, however she was being brought down with an arrow to her chest. The lady villain transformed her into dust. It was her ultimate end.  A young man was supposed to stop his lover, however he never saw her again. He was on the streets of Vale City and looking at the view of Beacon Academy from a far. He bitterly wept and wailed as he lost the one whom he loved.

  Months later, he was in his dorm room and staring at the lady's photo with him. Depressed and all alone, he kept looking at it. Suddenly, someone just knocked on the door. It was his friends, Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie who came in.

  " Jaune, someone needs to see you.." Ren said.

  " It's a visitor.." Nora added. " Ruby was talking to him a while ago."

  " I don't expect visitors guys.." Jaune blankly replied.

  " Jaune, the visitor is from SHIELD.." 

  " He's going to help you.."

   Jaune Arc gravely stared at his teammates. He gave them a grim expression which they had never seen. The young huntsman had no interest to see anyone after the incident. He reluctantly stood as he crossed his arms. Nora and Ren exchanged their glances as they seemed too curious of his sudden behavioral change.

  " Now, what does he want?"

  " It's an important matter," Ren answered and gave his friend a very concerning look. " Jaune, I understood of your loss. It has something to do with Pyrrha."

  " Pyrrha's not coming back anymore.."

  " He's downstairs and he needs to talk to you.." Nora added.

  Jaune sighed and had no choice but to meet his visitor at the dormitory lobby. He went to the elevator and reached the ground floor. It was a man in his forties who waited on the couch. He was smiling at him as Jaune got surprised.

  " I'm Agent Philip Coulson of SHIELD.." the man greeted and offered a handshake. " You must be Jaune Arc.."

  " Yeah, it's nice to meet you, Mr. Coulson.."

  " You reminded me of my younger years, Jaune. A very adventurous lad who had a great courage in combat missions. I've heard of your involvements in your Beacon Academy days."

  " Okay.." he  sarcastically nodded. " That's nice.."

  Coulson noticed the young man's unwilling expression. He thought of diverting his conversation to a very serious one.

  " I'm here to help," he said. " I understood about your fellow students who lost their lives in that incident. That's why I needed you to get some remaining DNA samples of an Inhuman to get revived."

  Jaune was speechless as he heard the man from SHIELD. He never expected to bring Pyrrha back to life. His eyes got startled as he never realized about what Coulson had mentioned. He was like being electrocuted from those stunning words.

  " This is a joke, right?! Sir, you can't bring back a dead person."

  " Whether, you like it or not, a group of scientists from SHIELD needs a hair sample from Pyrrha Nikos. According to the records, she has a potential to be revived and be part of our espionage organization, but it will take a long time for the process."

  " Mr. Coulson, I don't know," Jaune said and felt confused. " I'm really sorry. I can't say 'yes' to your offer. It's just too weird. This is not the right way.."

  " Jaune, I've read about the story of the Fall Maiden," he replied. " I knew that she's the most powerful one who could defeat a destructive enemy. However, she's our only hope to bring her back. We couldn't find the next maiden after her."

  From Coulson's words, the young man recalled the time when he rescued Pyrrha from Cinder's attack in the basement. He also realized of what she had been struggling during the Vytal tournament. It was her destiny. Jaune was too perplexed to decide whether he would accept or refuse the SHIELD agent's offer.

  " I still don't understand, sir." he replied.

  " I'll give you time to consider, Jaune Arc," Coulson gave him a warm smile and a calling card. " But, if you make up your mind, just call me.."

  The man left as Jaune was still looking at him. The blonde student-huntsman was wondering of his convincing words. He still wanted to know more of getting his loved one back to life. It took a lot of time, until he found Pyrrha's hairbrush which he kept. He was curious and seeing a lot of hair strands attached on it. Jaune carefully looked at it and gave an idea of bringing Pyrrha back. Finally, he decided to talk to the SHIELD agent, again.

  A decade later, a group of SHIELD scientists created a female clone from an extracted DNA sample. She was being under observation which they were checking her physical and psychological status and changes. At first, the woman had no idea of what she was doing. She got too curious of her surroundings and the people who visited her room. The long scarlet-haired woman couldn't understand everything because she had missed a decade of her life. She found it too hard to adjust herself in those changes.

  That night, someone just visited her. The lady never expected anyone to come in her room at this moment. The other lady with short curly brunette locks and a man in his fifties opened the door lock. 

  " Hi.." the woman greeted. " I'm Agent Daisy Johnson and this is my superior, Philip Coulson. You must be Pyrrha Nikos."

 " Nice to meet you," the lady replied and gave them a friendly grin. " I'm sorry that I'm not used to all the changes. They're getting weirder."

 " We're here to visit you," Coulson said. " We're sorry that we're disturbing your quiet time. Don't worry, we'll explain everything, later."

 " Sure, It's okay." Pyrrha answered and offered her guests a seat. " Please sit down." The two SHIELD agents sat on the couch. She was about to look for food in the pantry side of her room. " I'll get you something to eat."

  " Please don't mind about it," Coulson smiled. " We just came here to talk."

  " Sure, what is it?" she curiously asked.

  " Pyrrha, we've just studied your medical and psychological tests," Daisy continued and explained. " We found them that you're capable to be a SHIELD agent. I think that you're ready for your training. It's interesting to see your developments, so far."

  " Thank you, Daisy. I've been so curious about it. It's a long time that I never fought anyone. I felt like a guinea pig from all the laboratory tests."

  " Well, I would like to admit," Coulson said. " That you are a clone from the original Inhuman. It's been 10 years that our scientists had recreated you."
 
  " Sir, I don't understand.."

  " Thanks to Agent Arc's decision, he wanted you back, Pyrrha."
 
  " But why?"

  " It's a long story to tell you all the details," Daisy continued. " They spent a long time to revive you. First, they've cloned you and inserted a GH-325 serum in your body. Then, I decided to let you undergo terrigenesis while you were gaining consciousness."

  " What is it?"

  " We had let you exposed to a powerful dust from the Kree people. I talked to Jaune about it in order to bring your powers back."

  Pyrrha was astonished to hear the truth from her visitors. She realized of her new life would redeem her from all the pain and confusion. Yet, she was still thinking of her final hours with Cinder Fall which she had remembered. This time, she wanted revenge from her enemy. Pyrrha gave them a determined look as Coulson and Daisy was about to tell of her next assignment.

  " If you don't mind, I want to proceed to my training, tonight." she seriously said. " I need to defeat my foe who killed me."

  " Pyrrha, Cinder's gone.." Daisy replied. " The Agents of White Fang were no longer existing, because we had destroyed them a year ago with our allies' help."

  " We have set your training tomorrow," Coulson added. " Those enemies will never harm us again, but you need to gain and practice your further strength."

  " Please, I don't want anyone to get hurt again even if our future enemies will destroy all of us! I understood why I got back to life."

  " I had known that in the first place.." Daisy nodded as she thought of letting her get trained. " It was Alveus who almost ruined my life, but I knew how you felt." she turned to her superior and said. " Coulson, we need her to use her Inhuman abilities. She could help us to defeat HYDRA in our next missions."

  Coulson also remembered the Fall Maiden's story as he had talked to Agent Arc 10 years ago. Her fate had ruined her, but her afterlife would give another chance to fulfill her other destiny. 

  " Daisy, I'm giving you my orders to train Agent Nikos," he firmly answered. " Let's give the Inhuman a second chance to redeem herself." Then, he turned to Pyrrha and said. " Let's see what you've got."

  " Thank you.."

  Agents Coulson, Johnson, and Nikos headed to the training room where the new SHIELD members were having their exercises. The red-haired Inhuman was focusing on the piece of metal in front of her. 

  " Pyrrha, all you have to do is to bend this metal with your powers," Daisy instructed as she demonstrated her slight tremors. " But, I'm using vibrations to cause Earthquakes. Maybe, you have your own ability to perform it. You need to focus."

  " Yes, I'm ready.." Pyrrha nodded and began to put her hands towards the metal. Her Inhuman semblance started to create a magnetic force as the bolts and nuts had levitated and moved closely to her hands. The metallic object was being bent as it folded and grew smaller. She manipulated it as Coulson and Daisy watched her doing it. They got interested to see her magnetic ability being formed. Finally, she ceased using her powers and smiled.

  " You did it." the man said. " Excellent."

  " Thank you, Mr. Coulson."

  " No, you should thank to Agent Arc in the first place."

  " Jaune.." Pyrrha was surprised in what she had heard. " He's a SHIELD agent?"

  " Yeah, he asked me to recruit you after this phase.."

  " I want to see him."

  " Not yet, you'll meet him tomorrow. First we will introduce you to the initiative."

  " With your help, " Daisy added and handed a blue folder to the other Inhuman. " I'm forming the New SHIELD Secret Warriors with your other teammates in Beacon. Since, I've seen your Inhuman ability, I've chosen you as the fourth member. You need a codename, just like me, 'Quake'."

  " I was using my polarity semblance, before." Pyrrha said and read the details of her recruitment. " I had defeated a lot of enemies in Remnant."
 
  " Polarity.." Coulson replied. " Your magnetic ability suits you.."

  " Yeah, that's a good name." Daisy agreed.

  " I like it, 'Polarity'."

  " Welcome to SHIELD, Agent Nikos or Polarity.."

  " We're looking forward for you in the initiative. We'll get you trained as we'll give your first mission."

  " I will!" Polarity answered with the warmest smile. In her rebirth, she was prepared to rise again and work in her new adventures. " I'm in!"
