P is for Pokemon: Prologue

 




   Agent Coulson was sitting in his office, organizing his desk. Strangely, he had a figure of Cobra Commander driving the Lola model that Mack gave him. He kept staring at it when someone knocked on the door. He turned his attention and opened it.

    " Good evening, sir." the Avenger in Black greeted and entered. 

    The director of SHIELD curiously looked up at the Inhuman MIB Agent, "Pyromaniac, I've never expected to see you at this moment."

  " I've just come from the Vytal Festival mission with Agent Johnson and the others. We arrested the space terrorists and exterminated the grimms lurking around the island state of Remnant."

  " Oh that," he smiled. " I assigned her and team JNPR for that joint force activity with MIB again. I've learned your successful accomplishment."

  " Sir, she told me about Omega's exploits and mentioned everything. We need to talk."

  " Well, I've understood that it's an important matter. What is this about?" Coulson curiously asked.

   He explained, " Sir, Agent Omega has been phasing from the base in the middle of the morning."

   "Ah you mean Apocalypse, Evan Rockford. He does claim he goes to other fictional universe as part of his Knight Agent work."

   "That's impossible!" P sighed and laughed nervously. He found it too ridiculous as his friend went to another activity. " There's no way to go across parallel universe."

   Coulson looked over at a Cobra Commander figure on his desk, "I've gone with him, but I am not entirely sure if it's the truth. But I went to a world where all the SHIELD Agents are part of an evil organization. But Dr. Garner tells me that Evan is just fantasizing, he thinks Evan actually subconsciously alter reality as well as his own shape." 

   Agent P picked up the Cobra Commander figure, but noticed the symbols had been altered on it to have SHIELD symbols instead of Cobra Symbols. He deeply thought of those images on it.

    "This is a security risk, Director Coulson. And I will put a stop to it. I will find out once and for all what he is up to." he determinedly replied.

  " I hope you can. But I tried and I still don't know what to make of it. But I should tell you, Evan is not the most sane person. Dr. Garner tells me that he thinks that Evan is suffering from a complex where he must feel and inflate his self importance. If you could convince him otherwise, maybe you could help him."

    Agent P assured him, "I will do what I can, for Omega, Director Coulson."

   Coulson watched Agent P at the door, "Agent Omega or Evan Rockford. I am glad I retired from that whole MIB business."

   Agent P left the office, but he knew the truth but he was ordered not to tell Coulson. He had met elements of O.W.A.C.(Organization Watching Alternate Continuities) and knew that indeed that Agent Omega truly went from one parallel Earth to another. He went about his day, till the time came when Evan was detected doing his dimension phasing. He then staked out himself in watch of Agent Omega's room. After much waiting, a woman in a blue genderarme uniform came out of his room. As the mysterious woman turned to lock the door, Agent P was startled by someone touching his shoulder. He looked up at a blonde woman in a black uniform behind him.

  " Got surprised, sir?" she grinned.

  " Agent Y? What are you doing?", Agent P asked.

  " Well Mr. Pyromaniac, I'm supposed to ask you the same question. Anyway, I just heard your conversation with Coulson few minutes ago." she shrugged. " Okay, what's going on?"

   Agent P held up a scanner. It showed the brunette woman in the genderarme uniform was actually Agent Omega. He was certain to find the shape-shifting Inhuman within the area.

  "We are going to confront Agent Omega tonight about where he goes at night," he said.

   Agent Y nodded, "Right."

   Agent Omega clasped her white gloved hands together and closed her eyes focusing. Agents P and Y immediately grabbed a hold of the shapeshifter.

  " Hey!!" the strange lady cried.

  "Where do you think you are going, Agent Omega?" Y demanded.

  " You can't just leave here without any explanation!" Pyromaniac added. His iris turned red and snapped his fingers to ignite. " You'll be scorched if you don't respond!"

   " No! Don't touch me when I am phasing!" Agent Omega yelped.

    Suddenly in a flash of light the three of them were not on the base anymore, but on a beach. Agents P and Y were surprised to see the environment as they had never expected. They turned their heads to and fro. Omega wryly smiled at them and laughed.


  " You've been going out late at night to go to the beach?", Agent Y asked.

  " Yeah.." the shape-shifter nervously answered when Agent P a.k.a. Pyromaniac was in his morose expression as he wasn't pleased at this strange situation. He made his signature death stare and crossed his arms. Suddenly, a boy came to Agent Omega and panted. He seemed to be terrified and anxious from what he saw.

  " Officer Jenny, Bobbie fainted while fighting a wild Gyrados! Please, it was too powerful for my Pokemon!" he cried.

  Agent Omega answered, "Stay here, I will help your friend."

  Omega ran off in the direction that the boy showed where his friend was. Agents P and Y chased after him. Y took her Ember Celica as she was ready to scorch the terror water Pokemon on the beach.

  " Y, you can't use your ability in water!" P said. 

  " But, I'm supposed to join you stop him or it!" Y replied.

  " It's too delicate for you. Just stay with other boy! I'll take it from here!" Agent P turned to his friend and shouted. " Omega! Please, wait up!!"

  In the distance, they saw something a huge monstrous sea horse with flat snout and sharp teeth and a boy laying prone on the ground before it. It attacked the other boy at the beach. 

  "That Gyrados is fiercely angry. Bobbie most have hurt it bad. I have to save him. Go Ditto!" Omega said, producing a red ball from under her blue jacket, suddenly a pink formless creature popped from the ball and yelled with friendly smiling face, "Ditto!"

  " Gyrados? Ditto? Where have you taken us Omega?" Agent Y was confused to be in the situation. Agent P saw the huge creature in disbelief, then saw the formless creature Omega had produced from the red ball turn into a copy of the Gyrados.

  " We're in the world of Pokemon?", Agent P answered in shock.

  " Pokemon?"

  " You've never heard of Pikachu, Agent Y?"

  " You mean Bai Ka Jiu? From what would you call it, Pocket Monsters? That game which kids have been playing?"

  " I played it on the Nintendo series when I was grieving for my first wife. I've known a lot of them from the first generation to the latest."

  " Okay, P.. I get it.." Y answered. " This is too weird! I don't expect that this is happening right now.."

  Omega yelled at the Gyrados that transformed from the Ditto, "Ditto, use tackle!" The Ditto obeyed and tackled the dominant sea horse. The wild Gyarados felt being overpowered by the other creature.

  Agent Y looked at the creatures, "Then that's Baolilong? And that's Baakbingwai?"

  " Yes, according to the Chinese terms. Besides, I've known their names in Mandarin and Cantonese," P replied. " We should use their English names, instead."

  After the great battle, Bobbie was still trapped from Gyarados' body. However, he couldn't break free as the waves were splashing and moving the giant sea Pokemon back to the sea. Bobbie was being pulled away and dragged by it. Until, he found himself drowning to the deeper part of the sea.

  " HELP!!" he screamed and began to sink. Bobbie couldn't breathe as he went underwater.

  " BOBBI!" the other boy yelled and turned to the MIB agents. " Please help him again! He can't swim."

  " I better go after him.." P said.

  " Pyromaniac, you're a Fire Inhuman!" Omega said. " You can't use your powers in water! It's useless."

  " P, she.. I mean, he's right!" Y added. " You'll get weak!"

  " It's an emergency!!" P turned to his colleagues and removed his black Avenger coat, Pyro-repulsor, monocle, and shoes. " Y, I'll hand these to you, while I'm in water. I'll be right back." 

  " Yes, sir.." she nodded and took her senior agent's belongings.

  " Good luck.." Omega added.

  P rushed himself to the shore and immediately swam to reach the boy and the fainted Gyarados in the sea. He saw the lad and quickly grabbed his arms. Bobbie was safe as the MIB reached the shore. He checked the boy's heartbeat and breathing and repeatedly resuscitated him. Finally, Bobbie was coughing out water from his lungs and got recovered from drowning.

  " He's fine." P smiled.

  " Thank you, mister!" the other boy beamed.
 
  Agents Y and Omega were pleased to see the Avenger in Black had saved a child from drowning. They approached him as Pyromaniac turned his head to them.

  " You're a better lifeguard than I am," Omega smiled and laughed.

  " P, you're wet!" Agent Y was surprised to see him dripping. " But I'm so proud of you when you saved that kid from drowning."

 " That Gyarados is a menace," P sarcastically replied. " It brought that boy into danger."

  " It's all right," the blonde MIB agent approached her senior agent boyfriend. " Before, I return your things to you. I think you should flame up to get dried.."

  " Y, I don't think it's a good idea," P felt embarrassed and whispered.    " We have children here. This is not the right time for me to transform into a berserker Pyromaniac. They will get frightened to see me in that way.."

 " Okay, sir. I'll do it for you instead. Besides, we have the same semblance.." Y grinned and touched P's both arms. Her iris turned red and her heat transferred to him. P's iris also became red and sensed the rising heat energy coming from his and her blood.

  " Officer Jenny, what's with them? Are they Pokemons or Aliens?" the boys were curious as Agent Omega saw the couple. 

  " Uhmmm, I'll explain that later, kids.." she nervously answered.

  Agent P was all-dried up after the heat transfer ability which he and his partner had done. The children were terrified to see him.

  " Don't be afraid, everything's all right," he said.

  " Mister, thanks for saving my life from drowning," Bobbie said and turned to the other strange lady. " Officer Jenny, thank you that you used your Ditto to stop Gyarados.."

  " You're welcome.." Omega beamed.

  " By the way, Bobbie and I have been catching Pokemons everywhere," the other lad said. " Maybe, you should have one.." 

  " Well, I'm here with my partner to search some clues in this place," P explained. " OFFICER JENNY helped us to get here.."

  " Very funny, Pyromaniac, very funny.." Omega muttered and stared.

 " Kids, Don't you know this guy?" Agent Y grinned and pointed at P. " He's an Avenger who knows a lot of Pokemons!"

 " Really? We didn't know!" they got surprised. " He's a superhero! COOL!! He's gonna be the next Pokemon master so soon!"

 P turned to Agents Y and Omega and said in his low voice, " I doubt it. These children have never heard of the Avengers in this place."

 " Mr. Pyromaniac," Bobbie turned to the Inhuman MIB. " I'm your fan aside from Iron Man and Cap. Since, you rescued me. I want to give you these." The boy took his three Pokeballs from his backpack. " I've got a lot of Poliwags, Charmanders, and Squirtles on my list. I think you deserve to have 3.."

 " P, I don't think this is a good idea," Omega warned. " You might break the O.W.A.C. rules if you receive them.."

 " I'm not going to use them for evil," P seriously said.

 " He's right. I think he's going to study them," Y added. " You know he wants to learn from these Pocket Monsters and probably sends them to some scientists in SHIELD and MIB for further research. By the way Omega, he's also studying the existence of Grimms back in Remnant. He's an adventurer and a knowledge seeker at the same time."

 " Okay, I hope he's doing the right thing, Agent Y."

 " You don't need to doubt him. I know he's going to do it for good."

  P accepted the three Pokeballs from the lad and pressed the button to release the creatures. 2 water and a fire Pokemon were happy to see their new owner. 

 " Charmander, Charm!", a fire reptile happily greeted.

 " Squirtle! Squirtle!" a blue skinned turtle grinned.

 " Poliwaaaaaaaggggg.." a blue platypus with a whirl beamed.

 " Thank you, young man," Pyromaniac appreciated the gift from Bobbie as the three critters got near to him. They were pleased to meet him. P gave them his warmest smile like a father looking at his children.

  " Y, I sensed something with P," Omega said. 

  " What is it?" she asked.

  " Those pokemons around him seemed to be attracted to your boyfriend's Inhuman aura. I don't think he's like Alveus or Hive making a singularity with the Inhumans, but he's way too different from the evil Ancient Inhuman. I think he has a very pure soul within him."

  " Yeah, I sensed that too.." Y said. " P is a very interesting man. That's why I've given him my powers, before. I knew he has a potential to be a great hero. But with Pokemons, I think he can manage himself to take care of them."

 Agent Y went to her boyfriend as she was pleased to see him. " P, I think it will be better to have the creatures' names starting with the your letter, like Pikachu, Ponyta, Poliwag, Pidgey..."

  " Yeah, " Omega added. " It will be fun, but I'll ask Agent P the Platypus to help you."

  " COOL!" the two boys smiled.

  " I'll consider that, too."

  " What about naming them?" Bobbie asked.

  " This Charmander is a female. Kilauea is her name. She reminds me of the famous Hawaiian volcano since she's a fire element!" P explained.

  " Charm!" Kilauea the Charmander smiled as P gently patted her orange head.

  " For the Squirtle guy, Nalu is an appropriate name for you.."

  " Squirtle!!" Nalu jumped for joy as he hugged his new owner.

  " Okay, little guy! If you're happy, then I feel the same thing too!" P smiled and turned to the Poliwag. " And as for you, I think I can't change your name.."

  " Poliwag..." he came closer to his new master.

  " Well, that begins your journey as a Pokemon trainer," Omega gave Pyromaniac a friendly grin. " Congratulations!"

  " I'll do my best in dealing with them," Pyromaniac replied.
