"He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. "And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea." - Matthew 18:2-6
"Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate." -Psalm 127:3-5
"He took a little child and had him stand among them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them, "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me." " - Mark 9:36-37
"See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven." - Matthew 18:10
"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." - Proverbs 22:6
"Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good." - 1 Peter 2:2-3
When I was a kid, I used to read a Book entitled, "My Bible Friends". The story were Jesus and the Storm and Jesus and the Children. I read a story about two children named Mark and Sara who went to Jerusalem and met Jesus. They witnessed what He did in that City. Jesus had considered young ones to welcome him in his name, as He said to His disciples.
The book also shows the first part of the page before the stories. It was a picture of Him with different children. I drew this picture from it. This reminded me how He loves them so much. The Lord Jesus was the best example and influence for them.
The Lord mentioned that the children have been a reward from heaven. They were the ones who were blessed by God and their parents. They are also strong believers because of their pure hearts and innocence. So that's why they never give up their faith so easily.
For us, we should never leave them behind in faith and guidance because they depend on us too. Let's teach them, what the Lord asks us to be. For they will grow up according to God's plan.
I really like this! Nice job!
